One of my favorite events of the year is coming up at the end of the month.

The Night Bison will run for the third time on August 31st, leaving the back lot of NCC at Civil Twilight and winding through 55mi of every terrain possible. For us at Axletree, this is a fun one. They’re all fun. They’re all for fun. But this one is different. It has a neat feel to it that separates it from our other events. And there is pizza. And posters.

This year, we collaborated with the talented and kind Mr. Jake Early of Tucson, AZ. Jake became a faraway friend of NCC and Axletree when he surprised us with a run of prints earlier this year. We threw out the idea of working together to create a run of Jake’s beautiful serigraph prints to promote and celebrate the event. Our napkin art was slid (emailed) across the table (across the country) last month, and he sent us his print design this week.

POSTER FINALJake is amazing, right? He nailed it. NOCTURNAL BISON! They’re out there, man. Watch out.

These are going to be 18″x24″ prints, limited to a run of 55.

We are taking pre-orders on the prints and on a run of Night Bison T-shirts. We cannot guarantee availability if you do not pre-order. These will be ready for pickup at the Night Bison. The t-shirts will be black with purple ink with this on the front:

We hope you will support our efforts by pre-ordering prints here and shirts here. All pre-orders and all items purchased at the Night Bison (including any and all Axletree gear), will come with a raffle ticket. We’re getting loving donations from Gemini, Knog, Continental, Crank Bros, NCC, and more.

We’re also giving away raffle tickets to every person who shares this post on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #nightbison.

If you haven’t already let us know you’re coming, please do so on our Facebook event.

See you soon!

About AXLETobie

  1. Mike Saxton says:

    Hey gents,
Not sure if you know, but the Nachusa Grasslands (out near Franklin Grove…Lowden Rd. and Flagg Rd more or less) is getting bison this fall. I’m working there full time installing all the fencing and on other bison related projects. We’re getting around 40-50 animals this fall and the herd will continue to grow. This fall, the animals will be on a 400 acre unit but next year they will have access to roughly 1,400 acres.

Anyways…might be something to think about for future #NightBison rides!

      That’s awesome, Mike!
That’s good country out there. It might call for an extra long NB route.
